Genital herpes woman and female
explained
Female genital herpes is a very common condition and one out of every
four women is likely
to be affected with genital herpes infection.
Genital herpes woman affects the vagina, cervix and other parts of a woman’s body causing tremendous discomfort
and pain.
Going undetected
As many as 60% of women with a genital herpes infection would not know they are already infected.
This is because it takes as long as two to even ten days for the infection to start showing any visible
symptoms.
Until it does, various ambiguous symptoms such as fever, muscle pain, headaches, nausea, flu symptoms, discharge
from the vagina, pain while urinating etc. may develop.
However, these can easily be confused with several other conditions like yeast infection, pelvic inflammation or
even cervicitis.
It comes as no surprise then that female genital herpes goes undetected so often.
The first signs
Usually, the first symptoms of genital herpes infection in women are very mild, almost unnoticeable. The
symptoms usually start as small red colored pimples, which can easily be dismissed as acne.
These blisters can occur anywhere such as on the thighs, buttocks, anus, cervix, around the vagina or inside the
vagina etc.

Once these blisters start developing, they fill with pus and become big sores. These sores are also called
lesions and it is only then that a genital herpes woman starts to panic.
These lesions eventually heal, form scabs and disappear but take as long as two to four weeks to vanish.
During the period, the female genital herpes can easily spread to other men and women with whom the women has
sexual contact.
The virus called HSV can also spread through skin contact or even kissing. This is because the lesions located
on the skin are open and ports of exit for the virus to contaminate other people.
Treatment alternatives
The genetal herpes remains a stubborn virus with no known cure as of now. Female genital herpes will keep
recurring once a woman has been infected the first time. One consolation is that the recurring attacks will be of
shorter duration and less painful compared to the first attack.
Using a variety of medications as well as herpes-natural remedies a woman can prevent or alleviate the symptoms
but cannot remove the genetial herpes virus completely.
This is why genital herpes woman remains with no cure until date. By using the proper doses and medication,
female genital herpes can be treated and a change in diet including plenty of nutritious food can also make a huge
difference.
Underlying immunity
The main reason for genital herpes woman to develop is because of a weakened immune system. The herpes simplex
virus also called HSV resides in the nervous system in a dormant format. Once it is activated it causes the female
genital herpes.
Thus, strengthening the immune system is the best way to prevent any instances of genital herpes woman from
occurring in future.
Including plenty of leafy green vegetables, whole grains and cutting down on alcohol as well as sugar helps
boost the body’s natural ability to fight all kinds of infections.
